Give Kindness for Christmas: 2018

Introduction

This lesson started with a DonorsChoose match offer to fund a project that taught Visual Art and Civics in a single lesson. My first co-teaching thought was the Social Studies teacher right down the hall, Randi Richie. We decided to create a project that would help students learn more about citizenship, holiday traditions around the globe, and give them the opportunity to practice a little kindness. The finished product will be given to Pueblo Meals on Wheels to go out with holiday meals. We hope this lesson will give students the opportunity to learn about more than an academic subject area.
